Other Organisations
As well as the UK Pharmacogenetics & Stratified Medicine Network (UKPGx), there are many organisations working on the introduction of genomic medicine into clinical settings, as well as the development of the field. You can find out more about these below.
British initiative to sequence, and study, the role genes play in health and disease. Participants with rare diseases and cancer had their whole genome sequenced to help identify areas of the genome causing disease and to discover potential treatments. Project was completed in December 2018, with research and analysis still ongoing through GECIP and Discovery Forum.
